Blachford Calcium Stearate products are made by fusion reaction and are available in both tallow and vegetable grades. They are suitable for 21 CFR FDA indirect food and NSF applications. They can be used as a heat stabilizer in rigid PVC to improve resin fusion and reduce die swell; in most plastic polymers as a process aid to improve pigment and additive dispersion and as an acid scavenger in most plastics; as an anti-caking additive in animal feed and other applications where anti-caking and improved flow are required; as a waterproofing agent and efflorescence control in concrete and brick.
Blachford Zinc Stearates are made by fusion-reaction and are available in both tallow and vegetable grades. They are suitable for 21 CFR FDA indirect food applications. They can be used in most plastic polymers as a stabilizer for liquid colorant applications; in anti-tack applications for rubber mixing and processing; and as a waterproofing agent in textiles, concrete, brick and explosives.
Calford® Ethylene Bis Stearamide waxes are produced using vegetable-based stearic acid. They can be used as an internal and external lubricant for plastic polymers, a release and anti-blocking agent, a dispersing agent for pigments and other additives, and is suitable for FDA applications.
