PPG SILICAS
HI-SIL® T-600 & HI-SIL® T-700 thickening agents are a premium grade, synthetic amorphous precipitated silica thixotropes designed specifically for adhesive and sealant applications. Hi-Sil thickening agent offers improved viscosity and a higher thixotropy index providing better aging stability for superior sag control with maximum thickening capabilities with high oil absorption and finer particle size properties.
FUNCTIONAL MINERALS
In adhesives, kaolin clays can serve as simple fillers, or be reactive or functional. THERMO GLACE H and other air floated, water washed kaolin’s are lower cost while also improving rheology. ICEBERG and ICEKAP K calcined and surface modified or treated kaolin clay are viable clay choices for when moisture-sensitivity or improved reinforcement are desired.
SNOBRITE air floated kaolin is a natural ultrafine kaolin offering semi-reinforcing, good color quality, effective TiO2 spacing, and cost-effective rheology modifier with inherent or natural plasticity and thixotropy. MINEX functional filler made from nepheline syenite is proven to offer superior color development, tint retention, and durability to a broad range of adhesives & sealants.
